Think, Feel, Say…

This week in literacy we have been reading the story of Lucy and Tom at the Seaside and talking about how the Characters think, feel and what they might say. The children worked so hard mark making to describe the character’s and came up with some super ideas.

Nursery Immersion

Well done to our postcard and HOWL point winners from today

Have a lovely weekend

Let’s HOOK!

What a wonderful couple of days we’ve had so far of Hook Week for our new expedition ‘What happens when the sea meets the shore?’.

We discovered a time capsule in our Nursery garden which was filled with Victorian seaside photographs and a very old letter from a little girl called Betty. The children all loved exploring the contents of the capsule. We have also been busy making clay fish, star fish, crabs and painting seascapes. Our nursery is really coming together and looking really beautiful. Here is a sneak peek of what we’ve been up to so far…

Reminder: A Book and a Bun next week!

On Wednesday next week we will be having A Book and a Bun session from 8.30-9.15am. Parents are invited to join their child in nursery to share a story and cake together at the start of the school day. We will provide the books and a sweet treats so all you need to do is arrive with a smile ready to read together! The children loved this event last month and we hope this one will be just as lovely.

Nursery Student Led Conferences

Just a little reminder to speak to Mrs Burton or I tomorrow if you would like to meet with us for your child’s student led conference. This is an opportunity us to discuss your child’s learning in Nursery, their achievements and next steps in progress. We still have appointments available for tomorrow morning or Thursday morning/after school. Thank you, Mrs Kendrew-Jones

Seaside photos

Hello everyone!

To support our expedition learning this week, we would love it if you would be able to bring in a photo of you or you with your family at the seaside or on a beach holiday. We will be sharing these together in CREW and displaying them in nursery.

We can’t wait to see your beach adventures!

Mrs Hay 🙂
