Work together to see how many maths words you can think of for each letter of the alphabet! I’ll let you into a secret … J is a very tricky letter so I’ll be super impressed if anyone thinks of a maths word starting with J!
Please send your responses to [email protected] and / or bring them in to show your teachers!
We can’t wait to see how many words you come up with and who has the most creative words!
Today we collaborated as a Nursery Crew to create a piece of art work. Children came and went throughout the morning to add, adapt and develop the art work and together we created a beautiful piece to strengthen our nursery community. The children worked so hard to create beautiful work with great focus and determination. I’m so proud of you Nursery Crew!
This morning the Nursery children were lucky enough to have Angela, a dance teacher from Angela Gravel Stage School in Thorne join us for a dance lesson.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed their lesson with Angela and had some great dance moves.
I am so proud if Ida and Freya. They have both spent so much time making their craft. Ida has been very busy writing her own story and illustrations for ’Jack and the Beanstalk’ and Freya has been busy creating a ’sticky picture’ for her mummy.
The children have been busy today learning about how to keep our bodies healthy. We have been reading about the body, went for a walk around our Nursery to raise our heart rate, drawn self portraits, developed our fine motor skills by picking up pom poms with tweezers and built flowers and explored how they grow.
The week beginning 30th January will be ‘Maths Week’ and we will have lots of fun things happening in school to raise the profile of maths.
