NURSERY FIELDWORK 27/9/23

Hi All,

Here is a some information needed for our trip tomorrow.

Please arrive between 8.30am – 8.45am at the Nursery doors. We will depart promptly and be on our way by 9am. We will return to school by 3pm.

Please dress for the outdoors (wellies/walking boots, warm/layered clothing, rain coats). The weather at the moment is looking very windy, chilly and potentially wet. I would advise bringing a spare change of clothes for your child just incase.

You will need to bring a packed lunch and drink for yourself and your child. Refreshments can also be purchased from the cafe.

Myself and the Nursery team look forward to spending the day with you all tomorrow.

If you have any questions, please catch me on the door at pick up today.

We look forward to seeing you.

Nursery Owl Experience

Today the children in Nursery had a visit from The Yorkshire Owl Experience. The children loved listening to Steve about the owls and enjoyed having the opportunity to stroke and hold some owls. Well done to all those children and staff who challenged themselves and held the owls.

EYFS – Owl experience

Tomorrow both Nursery (F1) and Reception (F2) will have a visit from The Yorkshire Owl Experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to see Owls close up and learn more about them to go with our current Expedition. If you would like to contribute towards the cost of this experience please see the link on Parent Pay. We cant wait to share the photos with you tomorrow.

Please can these be sent in by Monday 18th September.

Thank You for your support

A very happy day in Nursery!

Today we welcomed the rest of our new children to Nursery. Our ‘oldies’ were so kind, helpful and friendly to our new starters and really made them feel welcome. Tomorrow we will be building our sense of ‘CREW’ by talking about our feelings and modelling what they might look like and playing ‘learn my name’ games. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings with our beautiful Nursery crew.

Busy immersing our Nursery!

The Nursery children have been having lots of crafty fun creating woodland creatures and painting trees to immerse our Nursery environment to kick start our expedition learning. ‘What do stories tell us about Autumn?’

National Read a Book Day!

Tomorrow (Wednesday 6th September) is National Read a Book Day!

Why not enjoy a book together after school to celebrate the day? We’d love for you to email us any photos of you enjoying your reading!

Nursery in the heat…

We are very lucky that our first week in Nursery is so sunny and warm however, to stay sun safe it is essential that your child wears suncream and a sun hat. Please provide your child with sun cream, a sun hat and a bottle of water from tomorrow. We would appreciate you applying sun cream before school starts in preparation for outdoor play.

Many thanks,

Mrs Hay
