Please see Mrs Overson’s letter regarding the start of our summer holidays and picnic on Friday. You are invited to collect your children at 12.30pm and join us for a family picnic on the school field.
End of Year Picnic – Friday 21st July 12:30pm
Today has been really special saying goodbye to some of our oldest children before they embark on their transition days in Reception tomorrow and Wednesday. We rolled out the red carpet and we cheered, clapped and shook our pompoms for our graduating children. I hope they have a wonderful two days with Mrs Wallace and Miss Carter and I know Mrs Burton will look forward to seeing them for more celebrations on Thursday and Friday!
This morning we were lucky to be joined by Mr Kershaw for the morning who set up a wonderful obstacle course for the children. We’ve had a lot of fun. Thank you Mr Kershaw
The Nursery children enjoyed going to see their new classroom this morning. All of the children really enjoyed seeing their new teaching areas, cloakroom, play zones and new toilets. It was all very exciting! They all walked beautifully and sensibly through the hall to the Reception classroom and all of a sudden they seemed Reception ready! I’m so proud of them all.
We had a lovely time enjoying yoga and stretches in the sunshine today. At first, the children were lead by the teachers then Erin and Phoebe enjoyed teaching us all new positions.
To celebrate arts week, we would like as many people as possible to create some artwork linked to the theme of ‘connecting across generations‘. Get together with your family or friends to create a piece of artwork. It can be anything you want! You could create a family portrait, a landscape of somewhere you like to visit or just your favourite picture.
It would be great to see everyone working together to create one piece of artwork. Send any pictures or your final art work to Miss Barnett or email them to [email protected] by Monday 17th July.

WOW what an incredible morning. Thank you all so much for coming to support our wonderful Nursery children in their sports day. The children have really enjoyed practising their races and were so excited to have you all there cheering them on. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. WELL DONE EVERYONE!
The rain didn’t stop our Sports Day practise today. Plenty of space in Nursery for an Egg and Spoon race!
Nursery are very excited to invite you to watch our Sports Day on Wednesday 5th July 9am – 10 am on the school field.
All children regardless of their usual session in Nursery are invited to attend with their families.
The children will each run in a running race and egg and spoon race and then there will various activities for you to enjoy with your child until the 10 am finish.
Please ensure your child has sun cream on before coming to nursery, is dressed in comfortable sports clothes, has a sunhat and a water bottle.
Please bring your child in to nursery as usual no later than 8.55am on this day ready for a prompt start at 9am.
