The children have been busy decorating their clay and wooden baubles, playing in the candy cane house, creating Santa shape pictures, hand printing for calendars (we hope you love them!) and enjoying getting cosy reading stories together. I wonder what fun tomorrow will bring…
Today the children loved making their own Christmas soup using glitter, natural foliage, oranges, carrots and baubles. The children loved exploring all of the textures and the festive smells of pine and orange.
This morning we have made the most of Christmas by making various crafts and listening to Christmas songs. The children are getting very excited which is lovely to see and hear!
Wow! What a gorgeous day we have had performing ‘A King is Born’. Thank you to all parents, carers, relatives and friends who joined us and for supporting with creating and buying wonderful costumes. We are immensely proud of the children for their confidence with dressing up, singing and performing for such a large crowd! Thank you again for your wonderful support and we wish you all a happy Christmas!
We have had a beautiful day in Nursery creating clay tree decorations. The children used fur tree sprigs, bay leaves and holly to mark make into the clay. Once they are dry we will paint them ready to bring home to hang on your Christmas tree.
We had an amazing Celebration of Learning in EYFS this afternoon. We would like to thank everyone for coming and showing their support, it was much appreciated.
We hope you enjoyed taking part in the learning activities that were available and that the children could talk confidently about their Expeditionary Learning.
Our boards, that we are really proud of are located in the Reception outdoor area, The XP outdoors area which is on our school field and Thorne Library. If you scan the QR code that is on the board you will be taken to a folder containing all of the Beautiful work that the children created.
Thanks again for a fabulous term and for supporting your children with their learning.
Thank you to all who have already brought in costumes for the EYFS Nativity. A reminder that all costumes need to be given to your child’s class teacher by Friday 8th December.
If you are struggling to source a costume, please speak to a member of staff and we can support you with this.
Many thanks,
The EYFS Team
Wow wow wow! What an amazing morning we’ve had with Chloe and Charlie from STAG-ED who came to perform the pantomime Cinderella. We had so much fun, laughter and songs. The children absolutely loved it. What a treat for a drizzly Monday morning!
The cast even sang our birthday girl, Isabella ‘Happy birthday’.
A huge thank you to the Green Top Friends committee who paid for us to have this wonderfully festive treat.
