I have loved seeing what you have been making at home and all of your visits to peel hill during your daily exercise. You are making me so proud! Well done!

We have been working on word problems in maths today in year 2 and played a game of ‘corners’ to identify the vocabulary in the problems that told us whether we needed to add or subtract.
Great job year 2
As you know we were visited at the beginning of the week by a dragon who left more than just footprints and scorch marks in the Green Top playground!
As we continue to care for the precious dragon egg we realised that we don’t have a name for him or her when the egg finally hatches.
That is where you come in Y2 crews! We have decided to hold a competition to find a name for our dragon baby. Be ready to share your ideas and reasons for your choice on hangout tomorrow morning at 9am for the chance to name our newest classmate!
PS…why not check out our Expedition website to look back on previous learning, admire our beautiful work and for links to further learning. Link below.

This week we started our maths unit all about money. They have been looking at coins, and problem solving by Tring to use a variety of coins to make certain amounts.
Money is quite a hard unit to master so we have been spending a lot of time recognising the coins and looking at them and discussing how they look and feel.
Fantastic work today year 2

Our fantastic caretaker Luke managed to catch this on video very early this morning!
The children have also found a huge dragons egg inside a nest in the quad area.
At playtime they went on a hunt and have found footprints, scorch marks and are still looking for more clues that a dragon has been!
Can you believe it!!!!!

Apologies class 9, I thought I had put pictures on the blog of our classroom last week. We all worked so hard to get the classroom ready for you all returning but sadly some of you haven’t seen it yet.
We have transformed the classroom into a hall inside a medieval castle. It looks great but we will continue to add to it and I will continue to keep you all updated!
Hope you like it

Mrs Miller has chosen Pandora and Sophie as our learning legends today for always having a smile on their faces and continuing to challenge themselves and ALWAYS striving to achieve Green standard, which I am very proud of!
Well done super stars 🌟

Look at these amazing dragon eye sketches that class 9 have done today! They have blown me away with their fantastic learning and eye for detail.
What does everyone at home think? I’m sure they would love if you left a comment to kindly critique their work!
If you would like to have a go, Google ‘how to draw a dragons eye video’ with a grown up. I would love to see your work too!
See you tomorrow in school or on hangout,
