We have had such a fantastic afternoon during our family learning session. The children have created fantastic crowns that they are going to wear for our school celebrations tomorrow to celebrate the coronation. Thank you so much to our parents and carers who came in and helped their children, as well as other children. They have enjoyed it so much!
Don’t forget to send your children in red, white and blue clothes tomorrow (Friday 5th May) for our whole school celebrations.
Thanks again and have a lovely bank holiday weekend with your family and friends
Mrs Shaw, Mrs Miller and Mrs Stone x x
A huge shout out to Mrs Stone’s phonics group for making so much progress! They are now reading so many more words per minute and flying with their phonics sounds! Well done girls…what superstars! x x
WOW what a brilliant first community crew meeting of the Summer term! We have had some awesome stewardship shoutouts, amazing HOWL point winners, even some reading certificates earned too. Most importantly, we have had some hard working Out Of This World winners too!
These young people have been working so hard to be kind, work hard AND get smart and we are all so proud of them!
Finally, a HUGE shoutout to Crew Cooper for getting 100% attendance this last week too, they will get to display Paddington the Attendance bear proudly in their crew room!
The children have all been practising their skipping skills this week and we have been keeping a tally of how many skips have taken place across school. I’m so proud of the efforts that the children have put in to learning how to skip and can’t wait for the skipping race on sports day!
Well done guys!
Year 1 and 2 would like to invite our parents and carers in to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III as it is linked to our expedition. We will be doing a royal craft together and then be enjoying afternoon tea. We hope you can make it! It will start at 2pm on Thursday 4th May.
Thanks…key stage 1 team x x
For the first time this term the new outdoor art club has had an amazing start. We took ourselves out onto the playground and practised creating patterns by rubbing different materials. We used concrete, wood, rubber, grass, brick and loads of different areas of the playground to find some awesome patterns. Then when we had finished we even discussed our favourite patterns and wondered what we could do with them next week…
Reuben loved it that much he went straight home and did some more in his own garden! I would love to see more pictures if anyone else has had a go at home 😀 Well done everyone -Miss Good
This week is National Skipping week and as a school we will be taking part to see how many jumps we can do. Each day, the children will get the opportunity to take part and count how many jumps they can do and we will create a school total each day. Watch this video to find out more.
School council will be getting involved to see who can skip or jump in the most unusual places. All you need to do to get involved is take a picture or video of you jumping or skipping somewhere unusual and send it into school. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 2nd May. Winners will be announced on Friday 5th May.
Happy skipping!
This week class 9 have been really busy making resources to immerse the classroom linked to our new expedition, ’Where could your journey take you?’
Awesome work everyone!
This morning our year 2 school councillors have been counting all the batteries that we have had so far. Thank you to everyone that has sent them in.
Keep them coming and let’s see if we can add to our total.
