We had another wonderful week in our art club, this time we made sculptures! We rummaged for different natural materials around the quad and turned them into unique pieces of art.

The children have all been practising their skipping skills this week and we have been keeping a tally of how many skips have taken place across school. I’m so proud of the efforts that the children have put in to learning how to skip and can’t wait for the skipping race on sports day!
Well done guys!

Year 1 and 2 would like to invite our parents and carers in to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III as it is linked to our expedition. We will be doing a royal craft together and then be enjoying afternoon tea. We hope you can make it! It will start at 2pm on Thursday 4th May.
Thanks…key stage 1 team x x
Y1/2 outdoor art club
For the first time this term the new outdoor art club has had an amazing start. We took ourselves out onto the playground and practised creating patterns by rubbing different materials. We used concrete, wood, rubber, grass, brick and loads of different areas of the playground to find some awesome patterns. Then when we had finished we even discussed our favourite patterns and wondered what we could do with them next week…
Reuben loved it that much he went straight home and did some more in his own garden! I would love to see more pictures if anyone else has had a go at home 😀 Well done everyone -Miss Good

National Skipping Week
This week is National Skipping week and as a school we will be taking part to see how many jumps we can do. Each day, the children will get the opportunity to take part and count how many jumps they can do and we will create a school total each day. Watch this video to find out more.
Want to take part at home?
School council will be getting involved to see who can skip or jump in the most unusual places. All you need to do to get involved is take a picture or video of you jumping or skipping somewhere unusual and send it into school. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 2nd May. Winners will be announced on Friday 5th May.
Happy skipping!
