A huge congratulations to all our certificate winners today and a huge well done to crew Shaw and crew Schon for being joint winners for the attendance. Also a big thankyou to parents for joining in our celebrations.
Next week we will be practising for our sports day (12th July!). Please could you send your children with a PE kit and a bottle of water every day!
Thank you! – KS1 team.
Year 2 have been busy this week writing their final word presentations and reflecting on their time in key stage 1, before they move to key stage 2 in a few weeks. It has been lovely listening to their experiences and recalling their learning from their time in year 1 and 2.
Once they have written their final words, they have been typing them up onto a slide presentation on the ipads, which they have enjoyed doing. It’s great to see them using the technology and getting them ready for year 3 in terms of basic computing skills.
Can’t wait to see all of the children present them next week!

A huge well done to Ayla for getting a medal in her first ever dancing competitions. Her beautiful smile showed me how much she loved doing them. Well done sweetheart!
Also, Ezra and Ellis cam in with football medals from Goals this week. I heard they had loads of fun at Ezra’s birthday party. Thanks for sharing with us boys!

Key stage 1 have absolutely loved their time inside the planetarium this morning. They have learnt many facts about space and recalled a lot of their previous knowledge.
We watched a video called ’Max goes into space’ which built on their learning and helped to secure their understanding.
Their faces were full of awe and wonder throughout and were buzzing with questions afterwards. I hope they fill you in this evening about this great opportunity they have had.

In maths club we have looked at measuring different items using non standard units of measure. The children had to estimate first before measuring, well done guys you were all awesome!
In crew Shaw today we had lots to celebrate from the weekend, Ezra had football medal and trophy, Harrison won a football shirt and Imogen had lots of dance trophies and medals to share. A huge congratulations to you all! 😊
On Wednesday this week, Key stage 1 will get to experience the planetarium that we have arranged to visit school. It is all very exciting so watch this space for all of our great photos…
Year 2 will be busy over the next couple of weeks creating a presentation, which will be all about their time in key stage 1. They will be talking about their favourite memories, beautiful work and the fantastic relationships they have created. It will give them a chance to reflect but also to think about their next steps as they transition into key stage 2.
We would love to be able to share these presentations with you so please book an appointment using the google form at the top.
We have lots of time slots from Tuesday 4th July so we hope you can make it. Please email your class teacher if you would like to arrange another time!
