As part of hook week, we have researched cave paintings and then completed some of our own! These will be added to our classroom environments to continue to immerse our classrooms!

Darcey has worked super hard today and even had time to produce this! We are working on Google Slides this term so I am really please she is mastering the skills on slides!

This morning, I had the great pleasure of going to Thorne community woods to see our final product. All the propaganda art work looks amazing and the QR codes which takes us to the site all work. On there you can see all the children’s amazing work throughout this expedition.
I would like to give a huge shout out to all the children in Y5/6 who have worked so hard throughout this expedition which we started all the way back in August! Despite COVID restrictions not allowing us to go on school visits the children have really embraced our Autumn expedition and I am really proud of their work on the product and the google site.
Well done Y5/6 and have a fantastic Christmas holidays. You all deserve it.

I’ve loved spending the last two weeks with my little elves celebrating Christmas, sharing memories and spreading a little cheer! We are well and truly in the Christmas spirit now!

Crew Overson have been working on the ‘Be Kind’ element of our HoWLs. We have received lovely ‘shout outs’ and kind messages on our kindness tree. We have also created ‘Kindness posters and I have been very impressed with their ideas and unique designs. Crew Overson are so kind!
We have absolutely loved Christmas craft today! We have made cards, created our ‘inner elf’, made Rudolph baubles and even had the glitter and paints out! We can’t wait to showcase more of our fabulous work when it is all completed! Here is a look into some of the crafts we completed today…..
As part of our geography learning Mrs Hardman planned an awesome lesson on locating rivers! We even had chance to learn more about where rivers come from! Watch our video to see our learning in action.
We have been thinking about how we can ‘be kind’ and help others in our local community. We have been collecting food over the week so it can be added to food hampers and delivered to families in time for Christmas. We have also created Christmas pictures and made cards to be included – we hope they make people smile!
