We would like you to a Y6 meeting on Tuesday 17th September @5pm. Year 6 is an incredibly important year and there is lots to consider! We will be sharing important information regarding secondary schools, SATS and the London residential.

UPDATED Year 6 – Secondary School Opening Evenings

The deadline for applying to secondary school is 31st October – you must apply for a secondary or your children risk not getting a place.

Please see some of the open evening details for some of the schools in our surrounding area. We would suggest you go along where you can to take a look around the schools! XP and Ash Hill Academy dates will be confirmed asap.

Opening evening – Thursday 19th September 5.30pm – 8pm

Opening morning – Thursday 26th September 9.30am – 10.30am

Open afternoon – Tuesday 24th September 1.45pm – 3.10pm

Thursday 26th September 4pm-6pm. This is the same event that was hosted in June so you do not need to attend again if you went then.

A massive shout out to Blake who has produced some amazing homework that is definitely out of this world! Blake showed amazing scientific knowledge, telling our crew all about the planets and recalling the correct order of them.

A massive shout out to all the family members who turned up to our family learning session this afternoon – we really appreciate the time you took out of your day to join us. Both the adults and children put a lot of effort into producing some wonderful posters about the solar system that I am proud to display in the classroom.

Y6 – VR Workshop

We had great fun today participating in a VR workshop where we were able to explore space! We saw the International Space Station, watched the moon landing and were able to see all of the planets to compare sizes!

Crew Jackson – VR workshop

This morning, we took part in a VR workshop that really has us hooked into our new expedition. Everyone enjoyed being transported into space and exploring the moon, solar system and International Space Station. I was very impressed with the knowledge many children showed already – I know this is going to be an exciting expedition.
