Well done to these children in Y5/6 who have shown great attitudes to school by working hard, being kind and getting smart! Keep it up!
In science club this week, we have been making edible slime. You can find the instructions here if you want to have a go at home.
Yesterday, Y6 took part in a science lesson held at Trinity Academy. The children took part in a range of practical activities to uncover the thief who stole the missing microscope. Well done Crew Jackson for your hard work; I was very impressed with your mature attitudes during the session.
On Friday, we explored using chalk pastels to create different effects. The children were very creative at coming up with their own ideas; Dexter made a fab lion and Evan a Lochness Monster! I loved the heart images created by Lola, Courtney, Bryona and Kianna. Well done everyone for working hard.

This morning in academic crew, we shared our final touchdown newspaper reports with a partner. We discussed our feedback and critique. Finally we went on to debrief by identifying something we were proud of in our writing and something we needed to work on to further improve our writing.
I am so proud of everyone for firstly producing fantastic writing and then being able to identify next steps.
To celebrate Comic Relief this year, we are inviting you to come to school dressed in red with a suggested donation of £1.
This years merchandise includes many different Mr Men and Little Miss characters.
As part of Red Nose Day we are launching our very own Design a T-shirt Competition!
If you want to take part, all you need to do is design your very own Red Nose Day t-shirt and bring it with you on Friday 17th March.
Get creative and design it in any way you want! You might want to draw a picture, paint it or even create a t-shirt you can wear on the day.
Each crew will vote for their winning design to be entered into a whole school competition. Have you got what it takes to be our winning design? Good Luck! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
This afternoon we looked at the more recent history of human rights. There were a number of protests at the Qatar World Cup linked to equal rights and diversity. We particularly explored the protests made linked to the banning of the One Love armband and women’s rights in Iran.
