This afternoon we began our art case study and hooked ourselves into our learning by exploring different watercolour techniques linked to control and tone. I can’t wait until we begin our final art work; I am certain we have some budding artists among our crew.

It was fantastic to hear what a great impression the children made on their potential secondary school maths teacher; they demonstrated a hard-working attitude and a high level of respect. Well done everyone!
Crew Jackson – Clean water challenge!
This afternoon, the children worked in teams to see if they could turn their bottle of water into the cleanest. They all rose to the challenge – applying their scientific knowledge on separating materials from last week. It was a close competition!
Well done to Ronnie, Amy, Georgia and India who finished first as they had the most cleanest water left at the end due to no spillages!
Crew Jackson – Science Investigations
This morning we explored different techniques for separating mixtures. By carrying out two investigations, we found out more about filtration and evaporation. Before carrying out the investigation, the children were mystified as to how salt could be recovered from water once it had dissolved and become a solution. They have now solved the mystery!
