As our new expedition is about where we live, it is also important to think about who we live with. It has been lovely to discuss all of the different types of families that make up Class 7; big and small.

To enhance our home corner, the children have drawn and coloured in a family portrait to go on our mantle piece as well as creating these family crafts that you can see in the above photos. The children have used buttons for family member faces and have drawn their bodies on afterwards and have used lollipop sticks to represent the walls of the homes that they will in.

I am so blown away by the amazing efforts of the children so far this week! Lots of Motivated Moe’s!!!!

Class 7 have started their new expedition this week ‘Would you like to live in a place like this?’ by thinking about and discussing together what they already know about Thorne and also what they would like to find out during this learning process.

We are so excited to focus on our three different curriculum areas throughout this expedition; History, Geography and Religious Education and gain lots of new knowledge!

Today the children of Class 7 have been so reflective on their learning and held a circle about how they can improve their learning for the rest of their time in Year 2.

The children have made a pledge as part of their New Years Resolution and are very excited to start right away!

We ask you, to help us, by helping them, to make these pledges a reality. Thank you as always for your support.

It may only be a week until Santa comes but Class 7 are still as focussed as ever today completing their Christmassy reading comprehension sheets and putting their ever growing reading skills in to practice!

Well done to these guys for having an absolutely fantastic attendance record this term. This is something definitely to be celebrated and I hope we get lots more in the draw next term!
