Just a quick blog to let you all know how proud I am with how class 8 are working through their assessments so far this week. The children have been calm, focused and really trying their best … I couldn’t ask for anything more! Well done everyone – keep up the great work!

This week in community crew we focused on Pride month. After listening to and discussing the story ‘Tango Makes Three’, we took advantage of the weather and went outside to complete a great piece of artwork to celebrate pride.

We had a busy first week back in Class 10 with lots of exciting things happening.
We started the week off with some art work where we made our monochrome prints ready for our product.

On Tuesday, we looked at our new reading area and voted for the book we wanted to read this week. It was a close vote but ‘The Invisible Dog’ won. Look out for our reviews when we finish reading.

On Friday, we had a special treat – a zoom call from two WW2 experts. We learnt all about what it was like for the children in WW2 and even practised what it they had to do when they heard the air raid siren.

Class 8 have enjoyed a fun and energetic PE lesson in the sun today … Speed, precision and teamwork were all on display!

To celebrate Pride Week, Class 8 have learned a little bit about the LGBT+ movement and our different experiences of different LGBT+ families.

Class 8 have enjoyed a fun and jam-packed first day back for our final half term!
We have made jam sandwiches in English to help us think about writing quality instructions, took our learning outside in the sun and Stevie has been our learning legend after his super effort in a tricky maths lesson. On top of that the children have been AMAZING and all our HoWLs are gold and green … Keep up the great work Class 8 🙂
Class 8 enjoyed a fabulous expert session this afternoon to support our learning all about keeping ourselves fit and healthy through diet and exercise. The children asked some great questions during the Q&A session and had great fun being put through their paces during the active session … a fit & fun way to enjoy the final Friday of our half-term!

Well done to Eleanor and JJ who found loads of different things in their hunt around the house.

Class 8 loved making this collaborative Reading River which shows all the different types of reading they have come across in just one day … Reading really is all around us!

I wonder if anyone can guess who these masked readers are?
