Year 4: Taste Testing for our Product

This morning we had a visit from Paul. He is an author and he came to talk to us all about why sugar is not so sweet. We learnt lots of new things that we haven’t talked about in Expedition so far. I wonder if you can tell your grown ups something you learnt??

Last week, we enjoyed completing our final science experiment where we investigated what would happen to a cube of jelly when mixed with boiling water. We then observed the changes to the state of matter during different points. Excellent teamwork and collaboration throughout the experiment and lots of great use of scientific vocabulary! Well done guys – I can’t wait to read all about your science learning in your Case Study reflection this week!

It was great to see you getting smart together yesterday in our maths lesson- supporting and coaching each other when needed. We were busy prepping for the Year 4 multiplication test that’s coming up next week, cramming in some last minute practicing of the time tables we aren’t sure about.
I know you all have nothing to worry about and are going to do amazing!
Proud of you all!
Mrs Faulding x

We have had a large amount of stuff left behind today from the residential.
We will be putting it outside the Year 4 classrooms (on the balcony) tomorrow morning and after school so please have a look through it all and see if it belongs to you.
Hopefully we will get everything back to their rightful owners!
Thanks,
The Year 4 team 🙂
Year 4 children who didn’t attend Austerfield had a great time learning circus skills and enjoying an ice lolly in the sun.
