Don’t forget Pyjamarama Day tomorrow!

Tomorrow we are celebrating the Book Trust’s Pyjamarama Day by asking you to spend the day in your pyjamas!
Look out on your google classroom  and blog for anything special your class teacher may have planned.
Please send in photos of you sharing bedtime stories, enjoying a love of reading and most importantly having fun in your pyjamas!
Send any photos to [email protected]
We will celebrate this on our social media on Friday 1st May.

Please find a link to a letter below from the English Hub.  They will be providing daily online phonics lessons from Monday 27th April.  These are based on the letters and sounds phonics programme we use in school.

Letter to parents & carers about online phonics lessons

Learning Legend

Today’s Learning Legend is Isaac.

I really liked your writing in Literacy today Isaac and as always it was presented beautifully. I can tell you tried really hard with this. Well done superstar.

Learning Legends

Wow what a week. Hook week was amazing. We had so many children engaging in our daily learning activities and the quality of work was wonderful. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

I have lots of postcards to give out!

Benji is a Stickability Stan for enthusiastically sticking with his phonics. He hasn’t always found it easy but due to his hard work he is now enjoying his phonics activities everyday!

Sonny is a Motivated Moe for all his fantastic learning activities last week. I was blown away with how much extra work he did!

Hollie is a Motivated Moe for completing all her learning tasks this week.

Georgia is a Choosing, Checking, Changing Charlie for selecting lots of different materials to complete her expedition projects. Everything she created was outstanding!

House Points

Congratulations to our house point winners this week.

A special congratulations to the Suns who are undefeated since we started our distance learning. It was a close call though this week with other teams closing the gap!

Will the suns ever be knocked off the top spot?

Learning Legend

Today’s’ Learning Legend is Georgia! She has been a Motivated Moe every day with her learning. She is always completing her learning tasks and always goes the ‘extra mile’ making sure she is fully engaging with all learning activities. She makes me smile every day.

For her Expedition learning, Georgia made alien spaceships. To practise her phonics she used a water pistol to shoot the sounds on her washing line and then after she had read all the alien names she drew some aliens and used phonics sounds to name them!  This is just some of the things she has done today (there was plenty more too!)

EYFS Hook Day

Wow, what an amazing first day we have had hooking our new learning. Our new theme is called ‘What will we discover in our fantasy worlds?’ and today we hopped aboard a space rocket and blasted off into Space for our first adventure!

The children at home have produced some amazing work which we will share in a special  ‘hook week’ video on Friday (I can’t wait for you to see it!).  The children in school enjoyed joining in with all the activities and even became aliens themselves!

I think we are all super excited about this expedition !
