Loop Card Fun!

Crew Knowles had a great first day back and were busy from start to finish! In maths we are recapping and developing our knowledge of angles within a triangle and on a straight line. Each group were so determined to finish their loop card activity and some groups even moved on to the next challenge!

Reading hunt winners!

AJ and Noah from Crew Knowles took part in the reading treasure hunt over the last week and both managed to find 14 or 15 of the pictures! Wow! Well done boys! I hope you enjoy your book prizes!

An exciting visit from our very own expert!

This week year 5 and 6 had a visit from our very own trust expert – Geoff, our trust photographer!  He worked with us on the types of angles, edits and stories we can create using photography.

Our collection of photographs tell the story…after all ‘a picture paints a thousand words!’

Ready Player Two!

Well done to Noah who created a great poster for Reading Week based on one of his favourite books!

He also dressed as this character on our dress up day! Great job, Noah!

Which features can you spot?

In English today, we looked at pulling out the features of an informal letter. The children blew me away spotting the different Y6 features including hyphenated words, dashes between two clauses and informal phrases to name just a few!

Lockdown Inspired Photography 📷

This week, the children have been studying some of the photographs that have been taken during the pandemic. They then used these as inspiration to create and edit photos of their own. What’s amazing is how creative the children have been with some of the photographs and ideas they come up with. Take a look at some of their amazing work.
