Wow! What a fab week we have had in our new year 3 and 4 crews! We’ve survived the heat, done lots of team building and made lots of lovely things for our new classroom environments next year!
Each crew has also worked on creating a pledge to support them in their journeys next year.
Check out some of our pledges in our beautiful class videos below. You might also get a sneak peak of some of the other fun thing we’ve been up to!
We hope you all have a wonderful summer and look forward to your return 🙂

We have been thinking about our Year 6s this week and hoping that they’re all really enjoying transition in their new schools! I’m sure you’re all doing a fantastic job and we wish you all the best!
Please find a link to a folder which contains images from the pass out on the last day.
Missing you all already!

As you will be aware, our Year 6 leavers assembly is on Friday afternoon with an approximate starting time of 2.15pm. Please ensure you have arrived and are seated well in advance (around 2pm).
We are asking that you ensure that your child is in full uniform that day so they look smart ready for their performance and pass out afterwards.
If your child wants to sign shirts and school tops during Friday morning, please make sure they fetch a spare for this to happen. They will not be able to sign the one they are wearing until after the performance and pass out.
As always, thanks for your support! We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Please see the following letter regarding Thursday’s welcome event for children going to Trinity Academy:

Wow! What a brilliant (late) night we had camping! We had lots of laughs, lots of marshmallows, lots of hot chocolate and lots of tired children they day after!
I know the other teachers have lots of other photos too – so watch this space!
Getting settled in the tents!

Tea time!
Hammock fun and pillow fights!

Hot chocolate and marshmallows!
The morning after!

A massive thank you to all the parents and carers that joined us this evening for our Y5/6 Celebration of Learning. It was lovely to listen to the children read and speak so confidently and clearly outside in the sunshine.
We then got to showcase our science videos in the hall whilst enjoying popcorn and fruit kebabs. I think we definitely have some budding actors and actresses at Green Top!
The videos will be blogged soon for us all to share.
Thank you all supporting us tonight.
The Y5/6 Staff Team

Big shout out to this week’s winners of Out of this World. You have all worked incredibly hard this year to improve your learning and to get smart. Well done!
