Reception are Scientists!

Last week in reception the children enjoyed learning about how the chicks grow and change. The chicks are doing really well and have grown so much! We can’t wait to see how much more they grow this week!

They also looked carefully at spring flowers discussing their prior learning and vocabulary used. The children drew some wonderful pencil drawings to showcase their learning. Here are some of our wonderful photos

Reception Chick Update!

We have had a very exciting day in reception observing and watching our chicks grow and change! We currently have 4 chicks! Suggested names are flying around for them! The children have been looking at the chicks in detail and have begun writing words to describe the chicks. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow morning brings!

Green Top Science Week

Keep a look out on the blog this week for what we will be getting up to in our science weeks. We are planning to inspire the children with scientific experiments and visitors with scientific professions! We are very excited to see what the children know already and what they learn!

Fun on the farm!

WOW!!! We had a fantastic day today at the farm. We were able to hold, stroke and even feed the animals. We made some beautiful animal craft and we had a really exciting, bumpy (and some times a little smelly hehe) tractor ride. We even had time to play on the park, play tractors, bouncy castles and soft play. The children made us all so proud with how beautifully they behaved, they really were a credit to the school and to themselves.

A huge shout out to all the grown ups that came along to help and support our children and the school today, you are all amazing, Without you support this trip would not have been possible, so a Hugh thank you from us all. We hope that everyone enjoyed it much as we did.

Reception Fieldwork visit

Parents/carers,

Just a few reminders for tomorrow based on questions today:

  • Your child WILL have a packed lunch provided by school tomorrow unless you have stated that you DO NOT want one.
  • Children arrive to school for the normal starting time 8:30am
  • Children will be back for homEtime at 3pm
  • Children need to wear comfortable clothing and nothing that will spoil. If you would like your child to wear their uniform that is ok too.

Thank you

Miss Carter
