What an exciting day! We have been studying all things medieval in our Castle Walls expedition in KS1 and this afternoon we have learned first hand about the job done by archaeologists to discover artefacts from history that tell us about life in the past.
We worked out that the artefacts we found were probably a plate ‘because it has a curved edge and it is flat’ and a cup or teapot ‘because there is a handle’.
Did you know that archaeologists study artefacts and palaeontologists study bones?
