This week, Year 4 had an exciting and hands-on science lesson as part of our Science Week celebrations! The children explored the topic of light and how it travels in straight lines through a fun and practical investigation.
Using torches and cardboard with small holes, the children experimented to see how light moves in a straight path and how it can be reflected and directed. They were amazed to see that when objects blocked the light, a shadow was formed—proving that light doesn’t bend around corners!
The best part? Watching the children work together, discuss their ideas, and make predictions before testing them out. Their enthusiasm and curiosity shone just as brightly as the torches!
