What to do if… Covid-19 symptoms.

Dear Parent,

I wanted to update our community on the recent school full reopening procedures, and outline the specifics for what parents should do if their child or anyone in their household has any Covid-19 symptoms.

I’d like to thank yourselves and your children for making our full reopening smooth and successful by following our one way system, asking any questions you have and sharing key information with us. I have managed to source further clarity to answer some of those questions you have as parents if your child or someone in your household is unwell.

Remember, if students show the following symptoms parents are requested to get a test for their child, this is to protect the other students, staff and site users whilst on the school premises.

Further guidance around symptoms can be found here;

  • A new, continuous cough (where you cough a lot for more than an hour, or have three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours)
  • Fever – where your temperature is above 37.8C
  • Loss of smell or taste

In addition, the table below includes specific details about what to do regarding a range of different scenarios for anyone else in their household (for instance, the Mother of a child that attends Green Top).
