We were lucky enough last week to have not one, but two experts visit us to help us further understand the inner workings of historic castles. We were able to deepen our knowledge of the strength of the 3 main types of castles that we have been studying – motte and bailey, curtain wall and concentric. We had lots of fun trying to knock down the walls and were able to prove beyond doubt what we had already learned…that concentric castles were the most safe. What a great way to spend the morning!
