A huge thank you to all of our school community for making our MND awareness day a massive success. Jake, Jake’s family and I would like to thank everyone for getting involved and supporting this fantastic cause. So far the total raised has exceeded £2,600! Every penny raised will make a difference to people with MND and their families. This money will contribute to vital research, to support the fight to find a cure and to support people living with MND now. Here is a small snippet of our day- I hope you find it heart-warming. As a school, we are proud of Jake’s positive activism, compassion and courage. We feel is it important to share our stories at XP; to date, the video has over 25,000 views attracting the attention of Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrows’ parents and former players. This week we will celebrate ‘Better World Day’ in our crews and this act of kindness optimises what it means to make the world a better place.
