The children of Green Top found lots of ways to pay their respects today, and at the service in Thorne Park yesterday, to the countless, brave service men and women who paid such a heavy price for our freedom. We also learned of the other colour poppies; purple for animals, the black poppy rose for black, African and Caribbean communities and white poppies for all the people who have died in conflict, with a focus on an end to war.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
Green Top will remember them.
