Last Friday saw the return of our Green Top Arts Festival, a day totally dedicated to the Arts and performance – in all its guises! To start the day, children were able to select from a wide range of teacher-led workshops – from dance to cartoon drawing to music and singing – there really was something for everyone!
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the fabulous bunch of pupils who opted for my performance poetry session, where children worked collaboratively to recite and perform a poem all about different types of animals. I was blown away by the leadership and teamwork on display in the different groups, and even more so by the fabulous performances crafted by the children themselves in such a short time.
