FREE SCHOOL MEALS VOUCHER UPDATE

Dear Parents,

You may have seen in the media today that MPs have voted against extending free school meals into the October half term holiday. The Chief Executive and the Major of Doncaster Council have therefore taken an urgent decision to provide funding to schools to allow vouchers/meals to be issued for those children accessing free school meals funding.

This was communicated to headteachers at 3pm this afternoon and therefore I have worked with the XP trust business management team to ensure those entitled to means tested free school meals will receive a £30 voucher per child.

The email addresses used to make the referral for the voucher are those that were used during the Summer term for the Edenred scheme, unless this has been updated on the school system since we returned on 26th August.

For any child who started school with us on or after 26th August who is entitled to means tested free school meals we have used the email address on file for the first contact.

If you have any questions around this please email [email protected] and we will get back to you at the soonest possible time.

The email containing any voucher will be sent to email addresses directly and not via the school. If there are any further updates regarding free school meal vouchers, I will post this on the school website.

With thanks

Mrs Claira Salter
