Class 7 at Lincoln Castle

An amazing time was had by all of class 7 on our year one trip to Lincoln Castle today. We took part in lots of fun activities such as learning to be archers, dressing as knights, an interactive story time with Dennis the Dragon, a wonderful royal banquet complete with jesters and medieval dancing and finished it off with a somewhat soggy, but none the less breathtaking wall walk high above Lincoln around the battlements of the curtain wall, where the children dazzled our guides with their almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the features of a castle. I couldn’t be more proud of how the children behaved and of how much they have learned during our history case study. Even Juicy, our class giraffe, got in on the act!

Could I also take this opportunity to thank once more our adult helpers? Visits like these could not go ahead without your support and the children and staff are very grateful for your help. Have a look at the slideshow below for a small taste of our fun packed day.
