We got off to a brilliant start to our new science case study today by completing a KWL chart to show what we already know and what we would like to learn about materials, and by sorting some materials into groups. We decided that some of the materials were smooth, some were bumpy, some were heavy, some were light, some were colourful and some were not. We also learned some new subject-specific vocabulary. Why not ask your child to explain to you what flammable, transparent, natural and man-made mean? We can’t wait to extend our learning further.
