This morning year 1 had a fabulous celebration event linked to their theme ‘what secrets do the castle walls tell us? A king and queen from each class was selected for the occasion by who had the smartie hidden in their cake! Riley became king and Ava became queen for the event. The children then enjoyed a banquet of cheese and crackers, gingerbread, fruit and juice whilst they took it in turn to entertain the royal guests with dancing, gymnastics and tricks. They all managed to make the king and queen laugh, smile and cheer! The event was finished with a jousting competition that even some of our parents took part in. Great fun was had by all!
