Awesome homework

How amazing are these fabulous pieces of homework! I am so impressed with how much effort they have put in! £100 class cash for each of you!

So many things to celebrate in F2 and KS1!

We love to hear all about the exciting things the children get up to out of school.  This morning we had so many to celebrate from Irish dancing, ballet, tap dancing, swimming and drama club!  Our children are certainly very talented and very busy when not at school!

Winner winner

This group of year 6 children represented us at Trinity last week. They had to prove to everyone in the lecture theatre that the moon landing was fake!  Green Top won the conspiracy competition!!!

Well Done from me!

Mrs Roberston said…  The children took place in a panic competition first where they had to find clues and solve questions to win points – they came first! Then after break, they researched their topic which was ‘the moon landing being faked’ they put together a presentation board of evidence, wrote scripts to support the picture evidence then presented their findings to a panel of judges.

The comp was based on presentation skills, their board and their speech.

They all presented their findings amazingly, especially Neo, who forgot to write his speech down so 5 mins before the presentation learned his speech from the board off by heart, which  apparently swung the judges decision. The children were praised for their behaviour and their enthusiasm for learning.

In a nutshell they made us extremely proud.

Vocabulary Venture

Class 13 enjoyed working collaboratively to improve their vocabulary knowledge. They worked with loop cards, tarsia puzzles and matching cards to practise their knowledge of word understanding, synonyms and antonyms! Great work Class 13!

Celebrating Chinese New Year!

This week in nursery the children have been exploring the festival of Chinese New Year . The children expired the text ‘Dragons in the city’ and worked collaboratively to create a dragon for the dragon dance! The children practiced their ribbon dancing to Chinese music and talked about how different it is to Indian dancing. The children enjoyed talking about the lucky charms and began talking about their favourite Chinese foods. We can’t wait to explore festivities more this week!

Esafety

The children in nursery worked together to create e-safety posters to display in their class as a reminder of how to stay safe online. I was very impressed by their knowledge and understanding. Here are our top tips:

“Ask an adult to go on the internet. ” Katie

“If something new up tell an adult. ” Carter

“Don’t tell someone your name. ” Heidi

“Tell mummy and daddy if asked for money ” Heidi

Stay safe everyone
