This week we are learning the following spellings:
Please practise at home too so we can beat our personal best and up our class average 🙂 (spelling practise is still homework and worth house points. Write them in your homework books)
A little challenge for year 5 to practise their addition and subtraction skills 🙂
50 house points for anybody who has a go 🙂
Yesterday, Y6 took part in a Science lesson at Trinity. The children were hooked into the practical lesson and even had chance to set up and light a bunsen burner. We are looking forward to taking part in the rest of the lesson in a few weeks time.
A big congratulations to our housepoint winners this week. You have demonstrated superb attitudes to learning within your classes, showcasing a range of learning aliens. We are very proud of you all!
Year 6 had a fantastic morning of science at Trinity Academy. The children were able to be ‘hands on’ with the scientific equipment to complete a range of interesting experiments. The children were very enthusiastic and they are really looking forward to more science lessons in the future. Thank you to staff and students at Trinity Academy for our lesson.
A huge well done to our girl’s hockey team that represented Green Top at the Doncaster finals. You demonstrated team work, determination and perseverance. We are very proud of you all!
Well done to this week’s times table rock stars! Incredibly, these children are answering times table questions in less than 3 seconds!
Who will be our next rock star?
Class 15 have been working on a formal letter this week. The pictures above show students supporting and critiquing their partner’s work to help them get better. The level of critique and conversation was inspiring and it resulted in some outstanding final touch downs!
