Well done Class 8 you were able to order fractions on a number line in your teams and then use these to support you in completing your own missing fraction number lines. You were all Stickability Stans at tackling new learning. Keep it up!

The children in Class 8 worked hard to day to identify the features of an information text today. This will help them with their own information texts over the next two weeks.
Well done Class 8!
Year 6 have had a great day of developing life skills. We all took part in a variety of scenarios ranging from a Magistrates’ court to safety whilst travelling on a bus. The day was extremely informative, fun and taught us how we can keep ourselves ( and others) safe now that we are getting older.
The children really enjoyed themselves and answered questions thoughtfully and maturely. Well done Year 6!
Class 5 have been measuring objects in our classroom using cubes today. This gives the children a base of knowledge to begin to use a ruler to measure accurately. Class 5 were fantastic at this today. I saw great independent learning as well as collaborative learning between peers. The children’s work is fantastic in their books and I am super proud of them.
Well done class 5!

Class 13 have been matching newspaper articles with headlines today – all in preparation for when they write their own newspaper! They were really interested in discussing the articles and picked out some great features of newspaper articles! Well done Class 13!
As Class 11 have just completed writing their final touch down of a Newspaper Report I wanted to share a glimpse of the planning process.
The children worked in pairs using the chrome books to gather factual information on a famous volcanic eruption, ensuring that they investigated and explored the 5 w’s- who, what, where, when and why!
I am so excited to read the finished articles! Well done everyone, you have worked incredibly hard over the last 3 weeks!

Class 11 have been busy in Maths this week where they have done a carousel of different activities focusing on ordering and comparing decimal numbers as well as solving monster problems!
Well done everyone on supporting, encouraging and coaching one another. What great skills to have!

Class 11 had a great start to the new half term by visiting Magna!
The children were blown away (literally) in the Air pavilion, seen the wettest water known to man in the Water pavilion, warmed up by the Fire pavilion and collected different types of rock in the Earth pavilion.
More photos are to follow!
Thanks,
Miss Laing
Thank you so much to all of the parents and carers who attended our family learning session this afternoon and for the materials donated.
The children had a great time creating their wheeled vehicles based on their designs from earlier in the week. They used a range of recyclable materials along with tape, string, glue, paint, foil, axles and wooden wheels plus anything else they could find in our art cupboard!
It was great to see such fantastic team work and have such an amazing learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Thank you once again for all your support.
