10-5 victory for the 3/4 boys

A huge well done to the 3/4 boys who played extremely well against Marshland tonight. I saw some awesome teamwork and some great footballing skills and I am very proud! Thank you to Mr Oldridge for refereeing and to parents and carers for coming to watch!

The boys will have more matches after Easter to look forward to!

Sing Out!

This year The  Choir will be taking part in the ‘Sing Out ‘ concert at Doncaster Dome!

Here is song 1 and the lyrics so you can practise at home.

Mamma Mia…

Mamma Mia Medley
“Mamma Mia”
I was cheated by you
And I think you know when.
So I made up my mind, it must come to an end
Look at me now, will I ever learn?
I don’t know how but I suddenly lose control
There’s a fire within my soul
Main line Harmony line
Just one look and I can hear a bell ring Just one look
One more look and I forget everything One more look
Woa woa Woa woa
ALL (quieter)
Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist ya?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My my, just how much I’ve missed ya
(louder)
Yes, I’ve been broken-hearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
(music break)
Yes, I’ve been brokenhearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, I should not have let you
So how could I ever refuse
I feel like I win when I loose……
Waterloo, I was defeated you won the war
Waterloo promise to love me forever more
Waterloo, couldn’t escape if I wanted to
Waterloo, knowing my fate is to be with you
Woh o woh woh woh Waterloo, finally facing my Waterloo
Woh o woh woh woh Waterloo, finally facing my Waterloo
“Dancing Queen”
Ah…………..
Ah………….. ooh yeah!
You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen ……..
(music)
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You’ve come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high
With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen
(music)
See that girl, watch that scene
Diggin’ the dancing queen!

Proud!

Brandon was so proud of his hard work in reading this week! Well done Brandon 🙂

Out of this World!

Millie is our ‘Out of This World’ this week. Very well deserved 🙂 keep up the amazing work Millie! 🙂

Great Reading!

Class 13 completed their reading activity around the room this week and they looked at extracts from the book Mina by David Almond. Mina is a character from Skellig so it was really fun to find out more about her!

The children coached and supported each other through the questions and worked really hard to retrieve information from the text.

Missing Angles

Continuing from our protractor work – Class 13 enjoyed problem solving by finding missing angles on straight lines, in triangles, and around a point. The children were all so proud of their achievements and were real Stickability Stans! Some groups had to be Choosing, Checking, Changing Charlies to find their mistakes and correct their work! They enjoyed loop cards, tarisias and some even enjoyed working out on windows!

Using protractors!

Class 13 have really enjoyed learning to draw and measure angles using protractors. They have showed such resilience and have all had ‘Can Do Colin’ learning attitudes!

A huge thank you to Mrs Clay and Mrs Walton for supporting class 10 today and helping them create something special for the special women in their lives!

They all looked fabulous in their pyjamas raising money for a very worthy cause!

Have a fab weekend class 10 and see you next week!
