What are our new class texts and what might they be about?
Class 8 really enjoyed spending time getting creative and making farm animals and fruits and vegetables to enhance their new classroom environment.
Over the next three weeks Class 8 will be working hard to improve their arithmetic skills. Well done for super practice at addition methods on Thursday and Friday. I was very proud at your efforts!
Mrs Jackson
As you can see, Mrs Clay has done an awesome job with our classroom and the the children have enjoyed enhancing it. They have made giant sweets to hang in the corridors and lollipops to hang up in our class. Here they are showing off their fabulous lollipops they have made!
Here are class 10’s self portraits from diversity week!
Class 10 had another awesome afternoon at Parklsnds care home. They enjoyed reading to the residents and telling them all about their new theme and classroom. Some children even played eye spy and they were really impressed with how good the residents were at it!
Class 10 are fully immersed in their new theme- do you fancy a change? Based around Charlie and the chocolate factory. Yesterday, the children watched the film and today they completed a recount of the film in groups. I saw some fantastic collaboration and the whole class are loving their new learning environment. I just know this term is going to be the best one yet!

Class 15 had great fun during Diversity Week. We made our own self portraits using oil pastels. We learnt how to use the pastels and the effects that we could achieve with them. We explored light and dark, colour and layering before we attempted our final piece. After that, we considered our backgrounds and how they could reveal our personalities and uniqueness. I must say, the final products are truly amazing and they are of the highest quality. It was brilliant to see how the children developed and improved their skills with this material over the week as well as using the sketching skills that they had already developed with Mrs Green.
