The children who participated in the Doncaster Rovers ‘Play on the pitch’ tournament have made me extremely proud today. Not only did they play excellent football but kindness, determination and teamwork was demonstrated throughout both teams. In class we talk about how important crew is and why it is important to be part of a crew; today 16 children used those skills to be, frankly, incredible role models.

Both teams played dazzling football and really stuck to the task. Green Top team 1 managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament, only conceding 1 goal in 7 matches (placed 3rd out of 40 teams)

A special mention to Louis-John who played as our target man striker and scored a hattrick in one game.

Thank you Y5/6 footballers and to Kelly Jackson-Powell at Doncaster Rovers for inviting us to this event.

Painting in the sun

Class 7 are making the most of the sunshine and have enjoyed painting outside. Their landscapes look amazing, they get better each work and have learnt some fab art skills this year! Super effort children

Well done to the boys!

A huge well done to our boys who played in the tournament at keepmoat over the weekend. They played against some really strong teams and managed to get through to the semi-finals.

Well done boys!

SPaG headbands

Class 10 love their new SPaG starter. They each had a feature from their writing RUBRIC on their heads and the rest of the class had to give examples/definitions to help their friends guess correctly. We had lots of giggles along with some fantastic answers. I think this game has really paid off as I have read some beautiful draft touch downs this evening which have many SPaG features included.

Well done my superstars!

Lilly was so excited to show the class this photo of her at the UDO championships. Lilly is a little dancing super star and we all love her showing us her sassy moves! This is an awesome photo Lilly and we are all so glad you brought it in to share with us!

Funky Friday treats

Here class 10 are enjoying ice pops as their funky Friday treat this afternoon! Have a fab weekend everyone and I shall see lots of you tomorrow at the Factory Shop ready for our performance!

Year 3 reading buddies

Class 10 decided to invite Class 9 into our paired accelerated reader session so we could have the opportunity to read to children who we don’t usually read to.  The children had so much fun so we are going to keep this up every week!

Here are a few photos of the children enjoying their reading time!
