Thorne Remembers

Last week, both Year 4 classes were fortunate enough to visit the local church and see the absolutely stunning display that has been created for Remembrance Day- including seeing their own beautiful art work that has been on display too! The children also took a 2 minute silence where they were able to reflect on the 100 year celebration and what it meant to them.

Jake the French super star!

I am so impressed with how hard Jake has worked this morning in French! He has matched numbers 1-20 to their French word. I am so proud Jake. Well done-£100 class cash.

Last week Class 8 worked well collaboratively in their theme linked literacy labs sessions.  They completed reading comprehension, read descriptions of castles they then had to draw and worked in teams to build a castle with a working drawbridge.
