Theme celebration Day

In Nursery today the children brought to life the story of the Scarecrow’s wedding.

Re enacting the story, creating decorations, wedding posies and a wedding cake (A fantastic way to practice our mark making!)  The children had a wedding party with food and of course dancing at the end of the day joined by our fantastic parents.

A big thank you to all the parents and staff that made today possible and for the beautiful costumes and effort you went to to make today happen.

A Wonderful day and a fond farewell to Mrs Billadeau whom we wish the very best to in her new ventures.

Day 3!

Elfie has been blown away by ALL of class 10 today. This afternoon they completed the last of their assessments and Mrs Clay and I are so proud of their hard work. Elfie chose Charlie to have a selfie with today for her choosing, checking and changing Charlie attitude when having time left at the end of her maths assessment today! Well done!

Day 2!

Elfie has requested to listen to the children’s fabulous theme learning today. He was especially impressed with Sophia and Vlad! They have been amazing can-do-Colin’s both today and yesterday in their assessments. Well done both of you!

A Frosty Morning

This morning it was very frosty outside. We had so much fun spotting all the frosty things in our outdoor area and watching them disappear. We also found some patches of ice! We loved feeling all the frost and ice with our fingers. Sometimes it was smooth and sometimes it was bumpy. Some things felt slippery.

buns for blue day

Photos to follow…

JJ and Eleanor from Class 5 (Year 1) enjoyed icing cakes for the Blue Bun Sale in Alan’s memory . They included some “A’s” for Alan. JJ said that he felt sad that Alan had died as he wanted to be able to show him the cakes he had made for him 😢 The two of them discussed the fact that Alan was up in heaven with a big brush and a huge bunch of keys!  Alan touched the hearts of so many and is sorely missed. I keep expecting him to be there when we collect the children from after-school club. He often had a chocolate treat for the children but the biggest treat of all was being chosen to accompany him on gate-locking duty…RIP Alan x

Class 11’s newest member…Buddy!

Buddy the Elf has appeared today in Class 11 and he has already settled in! So far, he has enjoyed watching the children in their revision lessons ready for assessment week and has also loved sitting with them whilst they do Accelerated Reader.

Buddy has told the children that he can be a little bit naughty at times so we are keeping a very close eye on him to make sure that he doesn’t make any silly choices!

Watch this space!
