Well done Class 8 for producing some amazing posters showing all your learning in theme this week on the importance of safety when riding your bike. Look out for the posters displayed in the Key Stage 1 corridor and around school.
Keep up the hard work Class 8!

Class 10 love singing the perimeter song! It is helping them remember how to calculate perimeter. Ask them this evening to sing it to you!
Class 10 have been looking at a WAGOLL text this morning and identifying features from their RUBRICs. The children enjoyed highlighting to show which feature was which and some children even up levelled the examples! All this hard work is definitely going to be evident in their touch downs next week!

I love our literacy labs sessions in an afternoon! Not only do we get chance to share a different book every session but you can see from the pictures how engaged the children are in their independent activities.
Children have created some fantastic maps that show a route Mrs Armitage has taken and designed some fantastic roller skates with some new and improved features that Mrs Armitage can use!
Not only do these activities engage the children but they are using lots of different skills to complete the tasks to a good standard!
Keep up the great reading and thank you so much to parents for your help with reading at home too. We are having a big push in the classroom on reading and we can really see some great improvements from the children who clearly read a lot at home!

Well done to all the parents and children who have been taking part in our reading challenge. Some children have already received bronze, silver and gold awards. Don’t forget for every award you achieve you will have a star ticket to enter in the end of year prize draw!
We do many different reading activities throughout the school day this includes listening to children reading individually each week. Please try to send reading books to school everyday so that if this is the day they are asked to read your child’s reading diary can be signed by an adult in school. If your child doesn’t have their book pack in school they will then read from a pack from the shelf. Books will only be changed on Tuesday and Fridays.
Please remember to sign the reading diary every time your child reads at home so that we can move them on in the reading challenge.
If you have any questions about reading, your child’s class teacher will be more than happy to offer their support.
Many thanks

I am so proud of class 9 today in their diary writing especially this amazing bunch! Well done keep working hard.

Each child now has their own login for times tables rock stars which is a fantastic resource they can access in school and at home. Can’t wait to see how many coins you have all collected.
Some fantastic collaboration in maths today so proud!
