Y4 Home Learning

Thank you to Pandora and Niah who shared their lovely home learning today. Pandora drew a great circuit using the correct scientific symbols and Niah made a great poster all about keeping your teeth healthy! Well done again girls!

Maths Week Challenge 1

Work together to see how many maths words you can think of for each letter of the alphabet! I’ll let you into a secret … J is a very tricky letter so I’ll be super impressed if anyone thinks of a maths word starting with J!

Please send your responses to [email protected] and / or bring them in to show your teachers!

We can’t wait to see how many words you come up with and who has the most creative words!

We are looking forward to seeing all of your hard work! As always, if there is something you want to do that isn’t on the menu please do it anyway! We would love to see!

Don’t forget – keep taking your books home and reading to improve your AR data, and keep practising those times tables!

Crew Knowles: Editing and improving!

We had a lovely afternoon today working in partners to support our peers to edit and improve their scientific reports. There was lots of great critique happening with the children offering lots of wonders that would make their writing even better!

Y4: Conductors and insulators!

We had lots of fun today investigating which materials make either conductors or insulators. We learnt that metal objects such as scissors, paperclips and tin foil make excellent conductors within our electrical circuits. Unfortunately, wood and plastic not so much! They were insulators and stopped the electricity flowing through the circuit and the bulb didn’t light up.
