Today we looked at the spelling of the following Y5/6 statutory words. All these words link to our expedition writing so the children will be practicing them over the next two weeks, to ensure when they use them in their written work they are spelt correctly.

We had a great history lesson last week analysis photos of historic events. I was so impressed with the prior knowledge that the children had and their ability to put the events on a timeline based on their knowledge.

Today’s reading lesson was all around retrieval so we used roll mats to generate different retrieval questions based on our text ‘Joe White’.
This week, we have been learning all about light including how we see light and how shadows are formed. The children hunted for shadows around the classroom and thought about how they were created.
