In school today we have been busy making shields to immerse our new classrooms.
The children designed their shields first and then we painted them and they look amazing!
I wonder if you can design a shield at home?
Year 1 were very lucky today to receive a special message from Father Christmas. Mrs Burton then found a note saying he had left a suprise under a tree. After a bit of detective work Maya and Annabel found two sacks full of presents. Luckily there was one for everyone so that must mean you’re all on the nice list!
Today in year 1 we have learnt all about Christingles and we made some. They looked fantastic and we have loved learning about what each part represents to Christians.
well done year 1 you were all very grown up and sensible this morning.
Mrs Robson, Miss O’Neill and Miss Hilton
we had a fun session in PE today because it was our last one before the Christmas holidays. We got to use some new play equipment that is only for year 1 and everyone had lots of fun. The children were very creative at making up games with the balls and cones we had. I have also got to mention how kind everyone was when it came to sharing the equipment and playing together. I am very proud class 5, well done!
I know you will all be on the nice list after this session today!
thank you
Miss Hilton
I would like to shout out to the staff and children in Y1 who have welcomed me to their community crew this morning. Their focus was ‘be kind’ and I can see how kind they all are! I am blown away by the great work that happens in Y1 crew.
Thank you for having me!
we have read the book ‘coming home’ about a Scandinavian robin that is on a migration journey. Then we had a go at sketching a robin and colouring it in. I think they look fantastic.
well done class 5 I’ve had a lovely afternoon with you all.
thank you
Miss Hilton
Don’t forget tomorrow is Christmas Craft Day.
Please wear old clothes as we will have lots of crafty activities planned.

I know we aren’t doing Christmas officially until tomorrow but I had to share these that class 5 did with mrs Miller! I think they are amazing and I can’t wait to get all festive and start decorating the classroom together.
