Next week, the week commencing 22nd September, it is National Recycling Week.
To celebrate this, we need the help of our budding artists to design some recycling posters that we can have made into stickers for recycling bins around our school! Have a look below so for fab examples!
We have been working really hard as stewards to begin our recycling journey and we would like to keep improving by having some of your beautiful artwork linking to recycling.
You have until Friday 26th September to bring your artwork in to your Crew Leaders. Crew councillors will then bring them to our meeting where we will decide on the winning design!
We can’t see what you come up with!
Remy has spent time this week considering what makes us a good Crew member and presented it beautifully!
A super well done to Penny for her stunning Roald Dahl Day poster!
Well done to Arnie who has written, illustrated and self-published his very own book ‘Trillionaire Boy’. Such a super read and clearly lot of time and effort spent-super Craftsmanship & Quality!
Year 4 were very lucky to receive a visit from Nicki and Vicky from Drax who provided an afternoon of scientific learning! We had so much fun understanding forces and their effects, as well as making our own balloon powered cars!

We’ve had a wonderfully creative day in Reception, filled with arts and crafts that helped us practise our scissor skills and develop our fine motor control. The children really enjoyed getting hands-on with different materials and showing off their creativity. We also had lots of fun on our green top stage, where the children explored musical instruments, played along to familiar tunes, and expressed themselves through dancing and singing to some of their favourite current songs. It’s been a joyful day full of music, movement, and creativity!
This week in Reception, we’ve been busy being brilliant mathematicians, exploring the exciting world of positional language. The children worked incredibly hard to demonstrate their understanding using the outdoor equipment, confidently using words like under, on top, in between, and inside to describe where objects and people were placed. They then put their learning into action by giving clear instructions to their friends, helping them move and position themselves using this new vocabulary. We finished the day with a fun and energetic game of Simon Says, which was a fantastic way to consolidate all the great learning from the week. Well done, Reception!
Today, Class 7 have been learning about the houses that were built during the 1600s. We learned about how the Great Fire of London started and how the fire brigade has changed since this time!
We then started creating our own box model houses that will then make up our very own London!
