Nursery- Being Thankful

Today in nursery the children talked to each other about who is special to them. The children thought about why people are special and the kind things that family and friends do for us. We talked about how we can show thanks and we made thank you cards for our special people! A shout out to all the adults who love our smallest children!

Nursery

Today the nursery children had a wonderful day exploring phonics and expedition! the children had fun learning the rhyme of ‘Little Miss Muffet’ making spiders and listening for rhyming words. The children listened to the story of The Rainbow Fish and thought about how they are a kind friend. Here are some pictures of our beautiful work and our beautiful Crew!

Design a library!

This year, we are working hard to raise money to develop our reading for pleasure library so firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you for all your sponsors from the colour run which will go along way to helping us!

Secondly, we still need your help! We would love for you to help us design the library based on the space we have to use which is the foyer area near the hall.

Please design your ideal library and share your plans with Miss Knowles in person or at [email protected] This is for everyone across school to get involved in! Please send your plans by 7th October.

We can’t wait to see your fantastic ideas which will help us design the perfect library!

Nursery- RE

Today the children in nursery enjoyed singing our ‘special people song’ again. Beautiful voices and words! The children thought carefully about ‘ Who is special and why?’ The children drew beautiful pictures of the people who are special to them in their families. Today the children talked about other people who are special to us in our community such as the police, doctors and firefighters! What a great morning! I can’t wait for next week!

Here is some of our beautiful work:

Nursery can take care of their teeth!

Linked to our PSED learning and our expedition ‘How do we show show we care?’ The children have been exploring tooth paste, teeth and tooth brushes. We have sung a tooth brushing song (see the link below to practise at home) and talked about what we can do to look after our teeth such as visiting the dentist, brushing twice a day, drinking milk and water and eating low sugar foods.

Well done Nursery Crew! I am confident you all know how to look after your own teeth.
