We have had a busy week in Nursery exploring and investigating. We have been investigating colours, the marks we can make when drawing and the sand. Another fabulous week in Nursery.

The children had another lovely day building friendships, building train track worlds, adding more texture and colour to our collaborative work from last week, taking care of babies, washing cars in the car wash, using play dough to make cookies, buns and pizza.
The children have been learning British Sign Language for ‘I’m sorry’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘tomato’, ‘carrot’, ‘milk’ and ‘water’ and have been picking this up really well.
Super work Nursery Crew!

This week we have welcomed some new friends to nursery who are doing a great job of settling in. The children have been playing beautifully and are starting to learn some basic rules and routines in our nursery. There has been lots of painting, building, physical play, lots of story reading, snack eating, bubble blowing, role play and friendship making.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

We are excited to welcome all of our new parents and children to Nursery. We are now in week 3 and nearly all of our new children have started school. We will keep parents up to date with things that are happening in school through our class blogs. Today we wanted to share a few expectations that help to keep things running smoothly.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask a member of the Nursery team in person or contact us via email.
A reminder to all parents that our Nursery meeting will be held on Wednesday 24th September 5-6pm in the school hall and we hope as many of you can join us as possible.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year in Nursery with your child creating precious memories.

Nursery children – I would love for you to go on an autumn nature hunt with a grown up and collect as many conkers, pine cones, acorns, leaves and any other Autumn goodies you can find. We will be sharing what we found on Monday 15th September and using them in our play next week.
Happy hunting! I can’t wait to see what you can find.

Hello Nursery Parents,
Please can you send in to Nursery a family photo and a photo of your child on their last birthday ready for our learning and display work next week.
Many thanks,
Mrs Hay & Mrs Burton
Today the children have been busy creating different texture and mixed media art by collaborating with their crew. The children loved sharing tools, paint and other resources and negotiated the space to create their art. I can’t wait to display these creations in our nursery!

The children are settling beautifully into Nursery and are starting to establish our routines. The children have enjoyed story time, scarf dancing, building birthday cakes with the loose parts, taking care of the baby dolls, drawing and of course building lots of new and special friendships.

We are delighted to invite all parents and carers of children in nursery to our welcome meeting on Wednesday 24th September from 5.00pm – 6.00pm in the school hall (please use the hall door entrance).
This meeting will be a wonderful opportunity to meet the nursery teaching team and to hear more about the exciting year of learning ahead. The meeting will cover many things including phonics, visits and assessment in the early years. We can answer any questions that you may have and explore the year ahead together.
Most importantly, this will be a chance to learn about routines and expectations in nursery, and to see how home and school can work together to make this a positive, successful and enjoyable year for every child. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the exciting journey ahead!
Thank you in advance,
Miss Carter and the F1 (Nursery) Team
