As the weather is finally getting warmer, we kindly ask you to apply suncream to your child before they come to Nursery.
We ask for or you to provide your child with a NAMED bottle of suncream, hat and water bottle to ensure sun safety for our children. Please ensure bottles are only filled with water.
You will be asked to sign next to your child’s name when you bring in the suncream to Nursery which gives nursery staff permission to apply your child’s suncream to your child should they need help to do this. Please give the suncream to a member of staff and not place it in your child’s bag (we have had a few explosions in the past!).
Your child’s suncream can then remain in Nursery and returned to you at the end of the summer term.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Many thanks,
Mrs Hay & Mrs Burton
Today we have been talking about how we can save our seas by reusing recyclables. The children worked really hard this morning to create musical instruments using only previously used materials. We have drums, guitars, shakers, tambourines and scrapers galore! Beautiful work Nursery Crew!
We have been so lucky to have Mr Pickles with us in Nursery today. He brought his guitar and played us some songs to sing in the sunny Nursery garden. What a treat!
Today not only did we enjoy fish fingers and chips at lunch time but we have been using celery to paint fish too!
It’s been a very busy day in Nursery today. Writing letters in phonics, creating pirate pictures and playing with babies.
I wonder what we will do tomorrow?
Did anyone see these pirates at home time???
On Wednesday 1st May 2-3pm we will be holding our EYFS Family Learning. Children can come to school dressed as pirates for the day (parents are welcome to join us in costume too!).
Nursery parents – please go to the nursery doors to sign in and meet your children.
F2 parents – please go to the school office to sign in, you will then be collected and taken down to the classroom.
Please note family learning will be outdoors so please ensure your children have a coat and footwear suitable for the grass.
We look forward to seeing you there

This afternoon we have followed the children’s interest. They have been building ladybird houses in the garden, playing Mummies with the babies and drawing dinosaurs. What a busy afternoon it’s been.
