It’s been a very busy day in Nursery today. Writing letters in phonics, creating pirate pictures and playing with babies.
I wonder what we will do tomorrow?

Did anyone see these pirates at home time???
On Wednesday 1st May 2-3pm we will be holding our EYFS Family Learning. Children can come to school dressed as pirates for the day (parents are welcome to join us in costume too!).
Nursery parents – please go to the nursery doors to sign in and meet your children.
F2 parents – please go to the school office to sign in, you will then be collected and taken down to the classroom.
Please note family learning will be outdoors so please ensure your children have a coat and footwear suitable for the grass.
We look forward to seeing you there

This afternoon we have followed the children’s interest. They have been building ladybird houses in the garden, playing Mummies with the babies and drawing dinosaurs. What a busy afternoon it’s been.
The children have enjoyed listening to the story of The Rainbow Fish this week which inspired us to create our own rainbow fish using blue play dough, glitter and sequins to represent his glimmering scales. The children have been talking about how we can be a kind friend and have practised sharing just like the Rainbow Fish did at the end of the story.
The children worked so hard yesterday to collect grass, leaves, sticks and wood to build our new bug hotel.
The children had so much fun exploring the nursery garden to find mini beasts to be our new residents. We found worms, wood lice, ladybirds and worms.
Today we have enjoyed the sunshine in the garden making the most of our new areas of learning and new resources. As you can see there were lots of happy faces today.
Our immersion is off with a bang in Nursery for our expedition ‘What happens when the sea meets the shore?’ The children have worked really hard with the grown ups to make Nursery a beautiful place to be which will inspire our learning.
Next week, the nursery children are going to be building a bug hotel. We would love it if you would be able to bring in any pieces if wood, sticks, leaves, branches and wooden pallets so we can build a wonderful bug hotel.
Many thanks for your support.
