Reception: Community Crew 29th September

Another wonderful Community Crew session this week!

It was a real joy to see the children singing together so beautifully in the hall, a lovely moment of unity and celebration that truly captured the spirit of our school community.

This week, the children have also given shout-outs to their fellow crew members, recognising those who have demonstrated fantastic HOWLs (Habits of Work and Learning). It’s been heartwarming to witness the genuine support and encouragement they’re showing one another – a true reflection of our shared values.

A huge well done to Verity and Storm, our HOWL Point winners this week! Both have shown consistent kindness, worked hard, and demonstrated a real commitment to getting smart, a brilliant effort from you both.

Congratulations also to Ella and Clementine, who received our very first Healthy Eating postcards for always eating all of their school dinners. Keep it up!

And finally, a special congratulations to our Crew Champions this week: Henry from Crew Wallace and Jayden from Crew Jones. Your efforts and attitudes have truly stood out, a well-deserved recognition!

Well done to everyone for a fantastic week!

Crew Wallace active challenge

We love being an active crew and today we captured some of the things that we do in a day to help us keep moving.

From our wiggle dance in a morning, to trying to get in some movement in any way we can, we will keep going with our activity and hopefully can add some more.

Well done Crew Wallace

Crew Wallace Maths Karaoke

We all love a good sing song in our Crew but this week in maths we were singing some of our counting songs. 5 little speckled frogs was definitely our show stopping number.

I loved how the children showed such courage in performing our maths songs in front of their friends. What a great session.

Well done singing superstars!!

Crew Wallace number hunting.

We had a great active maths session yesterday. We had to hunt around the classroom for pictures with different amounts of animals on them. We then had to find them on our hunt sheet and try and write the number all by ourselves.

We really enjoyed this and we worked so hard to find all of the numbers.

Well done everyone!
