This afternoon in year 1 we have made knights out of tinfoil and feathers.
The children followed step by step instructions and cut various shapes to make their knights, we think they have done a fantastic job.

Tomorrow at 1pm we will be joined by Archaeologist Jon Kenny who will be talking to all of KS1 about Peel Hill.
We are extremely lucky to have him join us to engage the children with our current Expedition theme.
When you join the hangout please ensure your microphone is off and stays off unless you are asked to turn it on by Jon to answer a question. This is purely a listening exercise therefore the children will not need pens/paper.
We cant wait to find out what he can tell us. The link will be posted on the classroom stream for you to join us. This will be in place of our 2pm hangout tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who has sent work via the Classroom or joined Hangouts and our live lessons. It’s been lovely to see so many of your beautiful smiling faces.
We have been blown away by the quality of the work you have been producing.
You are definitely displaying our Work Hard HoWL.
Keep it up everyone!

we have been doing some sewing this afternoon, we drew a castle on felt and cut it out. Then we sewed the castle onto another piece of felt. Our sewing skills were amazing and everyone was so careful with the needles and concentrated really hard.
The way we all helped each other and were supportive of each other was so lovely to see and we have really enjoyed our afternoon.
Keep checking our blog posts to see what the finished result is! we think you will love it.

Look at some of the amazing home learning that has taken place today in Year 1. I am so proud of those children who are trying their BEST to complete tasks at home. Well done to your Mums and Dads for helping too.
See you all tomorrow
