Thank you to everyone who came to our family learning this afternoon. The children had a brilliant time creating their Roman swords!
Today we began preparing our Roman shields! We gave them a first coat of paint ready for decorating tomorrow!
In maths today, the children have been recapping place value. We played a place value game where children had to play against each other to create the largest and smallest numbers!
During crew, we have been creating chalk outlines of ourselves and then writing what makes us unique inside of them.
This afternoon, we were lucky enough to have Jersey from the learning council come and read to us during our crew session. She did a fantastic job and the children really enjoyed listening to her!
Throughout the day, children from both crews have been working hard to help complete their crew boards. Each child has contributed and I have been proud of how much time and effort they have put into it!
This afternoon, the children have been carrying on with their Roman mosaics. Some of them are really starting to take shape now!
Today, as part of Hook Week, the children have been having fun making catapults out of lollipop sticks. We then had a competition to see who could fire them the furthest, with Natalia and Katie’s catapult winning!
This morning, we spent some time exploring different books that we wouldn’t normally read. We also shared our favourite books to give good recommendations to others!
