Today we had lots of fun singing, dancing and listening to the story of Jonah and the whale. We thought about how we can appreciate our family friends and school family and how we always have lots to give thanks for! We ended our assembly with shout outs for Pastor Kevin! The children appreciated his games, songs and that it was fun!

This week the children in reception have been using shapes to create pictures and models. The children have explored how to move, rotate, flip and turn shapes to create new ones. They have had lots of fun positioning tangrams by drawing , building and creating. Here are some pictures of our beautiful work

A huge thank you to all the adults who joined us today for our pirate themed family learning! The children looked amazing as they embarked on a day of all things pirate! Pirate writing, stories about pirates, the singing of sea shanties and an afternoon of family learning. The children took part in a treasure hunt collecting the treasure chest pieces to create a jigsaw. This led them to the chest of treasure…a yummy chocolate coin or 2! The children then enjoyed making their own treasure maps!! What a fantastic day!

The children have been sharing their holiday experiences with each other and talking about where they have been and would like to go on holiday! We would love to explore this further in our classroom and ask if you can to email in a holiday picture of your child and family for us to display in class.

This week in maths the children have ben building numbers to 20! Here are some of our children working super hard to get smart!
On Wednesday 1st May 2-3pm we will be holding our EYFS Family Learning. Children can come to school dressed as pirates for the day (parents are welcome to join us in costume too!).
Nursery parents – please go to the nursery doors to sign in and meet your children.
F2 parents – please go to the school office to sign in, you will then be collected and taken down to the classroom.
Please note family learning will be outdoors so please ensure your children have a coat and footwear suitable for the grass.
